M o n e y

The unit of currency is the Russian ruble (RU), which is divided into one Banks are open usially from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday.
Currency exchange facilities are open later.
In St. Petersburg you can change currency 7 days a week.

P o s t   a n d   T e l e p h o n e

Post Offices are open usially from 9.00 AM to 8.00 PM Monday thru Saturday, with an hour lunch break from 1.00 - 2.00. Letters abroad cost about 5 rubles. Post offices have telephones, and sell phonecards.

Phone cards are also available at Bus and Rail station in Zelenogorsk, and use of card phones is recommended for long-distance call -- they're cheaper than coin phones.

E l e c t r i c i t y

Electric current is 220 volts/50 Hz.
Wall sockets are generally European 2-pin round.
Adaptors are available in hardware shops.

Transport instruction

If you arrive by air you can take the airport bus or the minivan which costs you 15 Rubl. from Pulkovo Airport to the City. It takes about 20 minutes to the end stop which is at the bus station called Moskovskaja metro station.

From the Moskovskaja metro station you can go by metro towards the station called Tekhnologicheskij Institut where you should make a change towards Ploschad Lenina (the Finlyandsky Railway Station) (see the metro scheme). You can buy a metro card which allows you minimum 10 trips. One trip costs 7 Rubl.

From the Finlyandsky Railway Station you should take the train or the minivan towards Zelenogorsk.
Train schedule
There will be signs for the hotel "Severnaja Rivjera" (Northern Riviera).

If you go from Helsinki it is recommended to take Repin train which arrives at the Finnish Railway Station. There you take the train towards Zelenogorsk.
