Working Group <Textbook-2>

The Working Group will collect materials and will redact the second part of the book “ Community Informatics. Community Networking: Approaches. Prospects. Tools”. The second part of the textbook should produce a wide range of theoretical and practical experience, which was accumulated in CIS countries in the sphere of using info-communication technologies (ICT) for community development.

To take part in the activity of this WG we invite leaders of nonprofit non-state organizations of CIS countries who use actively ICTs in their activity and also scientists and experts from CIS and other countries, who take professional interest in this sphere.

The activity of the group will be mainly realized through e-mail and other on-line means. It is supposed that the first stage of the WG activity will last 6 months (August, 2003- February, 2004). By February, 2004 the group should present the second variant of the first part of the textbook ready to be published. Simultaneously with this activity the WG will carry on talks with potential publishers and sponsors.
