Working Group <Information Society and CIS CS>

The activity of this WG should stimulate discussions of a wide range of questions which concern forming of Information Society in CIS countries for developing civil society institutes, overcoming of escalating social injustice and equal in rights participation of all the levels of population in exploiting all the information technologies potentialities. Among tasks of the WG there is also formulating of a coordinated position of civil society organizations in CIS Countries towards The World Summit on the Information Society.

It is supposed that the first stage of the WG activity will figured for 5 months (July – December, 2003) and will be mainly concerned with involving of social organizations of our countries in preparing and discussing of problem areas of The World Summit on the Information Society. The above-mentioned activity will be carried through on-line discussions and disseminating of information materials.
